Harry’s pining for Chelsy

Prince Harry received an unexpected boost yesterday when he was voted the country’s most eligible bachelor by Company magazine. However, since it turns out TV beauty and the Prince’s newly-dumped love interest Caroline Flack was on the voting panel, runner-up George Lamb may well demand a recount.
The Prince unceremoniously ditched Gladiators presenter Caroline at the weekend, just days after it looked like a fairytale romance could be on the cards. Last week it was revealed the TV babe calls Harry by the pet name “Jam” – because “he has jam-coloured hair and he's sweet". The smitten 29-year-old even updated her Facebook status to read “Caroline loves jam x” accordingly.
There’s been frenzied tabloid speculation over the reason the blue-blooded beau called time on his fling with Ms Flack, with The Sun suggesting that he’s pining for his ex-girlfriend, 23-year-old trainee solicitor Chelsy Davy. Prince Harry reportedly confided to a chum: “I lost the best thing that ever happened to me and I’m paying for it.”
“Harry’s quite depressed about the bust-up,” continued the royal pal. “Everybody makes it sound like he dumped Chelsy and he’s having a ball playing the field. But it’s actually the other way round. He’s trying to tell her that he messed up and wants her back because he can’t be without her.
So far, so heart-rending. But there could be another reason why the Prince decided to nip his affair with Caroline in the bud. According to various sources, the TV presenter has something of a shady past, which includes frolicking with Jack Osbourne in a hot tub, and dates with such luminaries as Dec Donnelly, Noel Fielding, T4 Lothario Steve Jones and, perhaps most alarmingly of all, big haired funnyman Russell Brand. Not exactly royal material…
